Q. How can I find out more about the history of Farmers Market?
A. Come for a visit: we’ve got kiosks at several locations which feature specific aspects of our long and storied history, a display about the popularity of our famous green shopping carts and a second display which shows you how we make those little gems. There is also a perfect replica, circa July, 1936, of a Gilmore Gas station (Earl’s Service, on the Market Plaza). You can also visit our office and ask for a Market history brochure. Plus, there’s history all over the place – great old Market photos on the walls, some fine old photos in some of our shops, and a whole bunch of employees who have been here for years and years and would love to chat with you – just ask!
